A popular influencer has tragically died aged 38 after undergoing a butt lift cosmetic surgery procedure. Mum-of-one Yulia Burtseva, who was born in Russia but lived in Italy, suffered a sudden medical emergency shortly after receiving injections during a butt-lift (BBL) operation and could not be saved, Russian media reported.
Yulia, who has thousands of followers on social media, filmed a poignant video just hours before her death in which she could be seen smiling and enjoying breakfast at Moscow's plush Pushkin Café on Sunday. The 'mumfluencer' had flown to the Russian capital from Italy, where she lived with her Italian husband and young daughter, the day before the operation, which cost £4,600.

Yulia's condition deteriorated sharply immediately after the procedure – which was reportedly supposed to enlarge her buttocks – according to emergency service sources cited by Russian outlet MSK1.
Reports suggest Yulia suffered anaphylactic shock and died quickly afterwards. The mum was rushed to hospital, but doctors were unable to revive her.
When news of the tragedy broke, Yulia's fans flocked to social media, with many unable to comprehend what had happened, given the Russian's recent Instagram Story. One asked “She was filming stories just hours ago — is this really true?” Another said: “Ten hours earlier she was smiling and happy. This is terrifying.”
Meanwhile, other fans questioned the risks of cosmetic procedures, with one commenting: “Operations like this are simply not worth it. Deep condolences to her family.”
A criminal investigation has been opened into the death. Investigators are working at the scene and seizing documents, the Moscow Investigative Committee said in a statement. A number of forensic examinations, including medical tests, have been ordered. The clinic’s director could not be reached for comment, according to MSK1.
Yulia was born in Samara, Russia, and later moved to Italy, where she married Giuseppe, a Neapolitan native, about five years ago. On her blog, she regularly shared videos about life living in Italy, praising the country's family values and posting sweet clips of her husband, daughter and mother-in-law.
She had also previously revealed her journey into medical tourism, including a trip to Turkey for dental treatment, where she promoted the clinic involved.
