“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star K. Michelle’s struggle with botched butt implant surgery played out on camera in multiple ways.

Moments before she was set to perform at the 2025 ACM honors, her butt injections began leaking, creating a major medical emergency.
In a preview clip for Sunday night’s episode of “RHOA,” K. Michelle can be seen at a doctor’s office addressing the issue and being told that she had an “opening” where she previously had surgery.
The doctor tells her “It looks like you have an infection” and that they will have to remove dead tissue, comparing the procedure to “reconstructive surgery.”

After the doctor leaves, K. Michelle breaks down in tears, saying, "I hate that I did this to myself. It was the worst thing I ever did to myself.” She added she’s “paid for it for years.”
K. Michelle also recalled in the clip the moment her injections began leaking backstage at the 18th ACM Honors.
The singer got up from a couch and saw that it was “soaking wet.”

"I didn't feel anything. I was completely numb," she says. "I was standing there in a bathroom. Everyone was blow-drying me down. It was very frantic just to get me on stage to sing. I didn't know what was going on with my body or my health until I even got back to the room in Nashville."
Another clip explains that K. Michelle underwent a two-hour surgery "to remove infected tissue related to a previous surgery.”

"The actual thing that has made me sick isn't the BBL. It's the injections that I got involving silicone," K. Michelle says.
"The hardest thing for me was learning that no matter what I do and how many surgeries, I will never get that silicone out of my body," she continues. "It will be forever in me. I will never be fully healed."

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sunday on Bravo and streams next day on Peacock.
